Tim Blashill presently serves as the Program and Pro Shop Coordinator for Ferris State University Athletics and the Ewigleben Sports Complex.

Along with overseeing the pro shop at FSU, Blashill coordinates all youth hockey and skating programs in the Big Rapids area and is the program director for the Big Rapids Junior Hockey Association.

Blashill formerly served as a volunteer assistant coach for Ferris State Hockey for six seasons and currently serves as the head coach for the Big Rapids High School hockey program.

The younger brother of current Detroit Red Wings head coach and FSU alum Jeff Blashill, Tim came to Ferris State following a four-year collegiate playing career from 1996-2000 at Fredonia (N.Y.) State. In his career as a Blue Devil defenseman, Blashill competed in 59 outings.

Prior to attending Fredonia State, Blashill played in the Junior "A" hockey ranks for the Indianapolis (Ind.) Ice of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) during the 1994-95 campaign. Following that season, Blashill played the 1995-96 campaign with the Sault Ste. Marie (Mich.) Indians of the NAHL.

A 1994 graduate of Sault Area High School in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., Blashill competed in ice hockey, football and baseball on the prep level. He received Most Valuable Defenseman accolades in hockey during his senior season. Blashill graduated with a bachelor's degree in history from Ferris State, and resides in Canadian Lakes with his wife Erin and their son.
