Ticket Office Hours Expanded For Homecoming Matchup

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University Athletics Ticket Office has announced extended hours this week for Bulldog fans wishing to purchase tickets for Saturday's (Oct. 13) homecoming football matchup against Hillsdale at Top Taggart Field.

FSU is expecting a large crowd for the debut homecoming game under first-year head coach Tony Annese following an impressive 40-24 win over archrival Grand Valley State in the Anchor-Bone Classic this past Saturday in Allendale.  The Chargers are guided by former Bulldog head coach Keith Otterbein.  Both teams own identical 4-2 overall records.

In an effort to accommodate those wishing to purchase tickets, the ticket office inside the Ewigleben Sports Complex will remain open three hours later than normal on Friday (Oct. 12) night until 8 p.m. (ET).  Additionally, the gameday ticket office located at Top Taggart Field will open earlier than usual on Saturday at 10 a.m. (ET).

Tickets for Saturday's game are currently on sale and can be obtained by contacting the FSU Athletics Ticket Office at (231) 591-2888. They can also be bought online at www.startickets.com. The FSU Athletics Ticket Office will be open inside the Ewigleben Sports Complex today thru Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (ET) along with Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. (ET).  Fans can save $2 per ticket by purchasing in advance.

Football tickets in advance are only $7 adults or $5 students (age 3 to 12th grade), senior citizens (ages 65+) and FSU faculty/staff. Prices go up to $9 for adults and $7 for students ages 3 to 12th grade, senior citizens and faculty/staff on gameday.  Ferris students with ID will be admitted free by showing their student identification cards.

Parking in lots near Top Taggart Field is $5 per available space, including Lot 2 on campus this season.  As a convenience to fans, credit cards will also be accepted at the ticket window on gameday, but not at the concession stand.

As part of the homecoming events, all fans are encouraged to wear red in an effort to "red out" Top Taggart Field.  Tailgating will be permitted starting on Saturday at 10 a.m. (ET).  The gates to the stadium open 90 minutes prior to kickoff at 12:30 p.m. (ET).

The Bulldog "Player Parade" will take place at 12:30 with a pregame tailgate concert starting at 12:45 p.m. (ET).

A number of special activities and events highlight Ferris' 2012 homecoming slate. Various student events will take place all week highlighted by the traditional bonfire on Wednesday (Oct. 10) night at 8 p.m. (ET).

The Homecoming slate also includes alumni reunions for several campus organizations and groups on both Friday and Saturday.  The annual parade will be held in downtown Big Rapids on Saturday starting at 12 p.m. (ET) prior to the football game and a reception for alumni and students will take place following the contest starting at 5:30 p.m. (ET) at Westview Dining.

The FSU-Hillsdale football game will be broadcast live locally by the Bulldog Sports Network and Sunny 97.3 FM with Rob Bentley handling the play-by-play duties and Sandy Gholston offering color commentary.  A live video and audio webcast complete with internet statistics will be available through FSU's all-access video portal for a charge of $7.95 on FSU's Athletics Website at www.FerrisStateBulldogs.com.
