Busy Weekend Of Action For FSU Athletics - Football, Volleyball, Soccer All At Home!

Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University fans wanting to catch the Bulldogs in action will have several opportunities this weekend as the FSU football, volleyball and women's soccer squads will combine for five home contests.

The action gets underway on Friday (Oct. 4) as part of "Women In Sports Day" as the Bulldogs continue Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) volleyball and women's soccer action in Big Rapids.  The Bulldog soccer team hosts Walsh in a 4 p.m. (ET) league tilt at the FSU Soccer Field with the nationally 22nd-ranked volleyball team hosting Tiffin inside the Ewigleben Sports Arena at 7 p.m. (ET).

On Saturday, it's homecoming as Ferris State football battles Saginaw Valley State in a showdown of teams unbeaten in conference action.  Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. (ET) at Top Taggart Field.  The volleyball team will then take on Ohio Dominican following the contest at the Ewigleben Sports Arena starting at 5 p.m. (ET).

Finally, on Sunday (Oct. 6), women's soccer wraps up the home weekend action with a 12 p.m. (ET) match versus Malone at the FSU Soccer Field.

Tickets for Saturday's football game can be bought online at StarTickets.com, by calling (800) 585-3737, or in person thru the FSU Athletics Ticket Office located inside the Ewigleben Sports Complex.  The ticket office is open today thru Friday from 9 a.m. (ET) to 5 p.m. (ET).  The Wheeler Pavilion Gameday Ticket Office will also open earlier than normal on Saturday starting at 10 a.m. (ET).  For more information on ticket sales, please call (231) 591-2888 or visit FerrisStateBulldogs.com.  

Football tickets in advance for Saturday's premium game are only $12 for adults, senior citizens (ages 65+) and FSU faculty/staff along with $8 for students. Prices go up to $15 for adults, senior citizens and faculty/staff on gameday along with $10 for students.  Ferris students with ID will be admitted free by showing their student identification cards.

Tailgating will be permitted starting on Saturday at 10 a.m. (ET) with the gates to the stadium opening 90 minutes prior to kickoff at 12:30 p.m. (ET). 

Meanwhile, Bulldog fans can purchase tickets for all volleyball and women's soccer contests at the gate starting one hour prior to the scheduled start time.  Adult general admission prices for both sports are $5 while faculty/staff, seniors and students are $3 with FSU students being admitted free with a valid ID card.

Along with all the home action, a number of Ferris State University teams will be in action on the road.  Bulldog Hockey opens its 2013-14 season against Colgate on Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 6-7) in Hamilton, N.Y.  The FSU men's and women's tennis teams, men's and women's cross country teams along with the men's and women's golf squads will also all be competing away from home.  Complete results from all events will be available following events at FerrisStateBulldogs.com.
