Ferris State's Wyatt Ford Tabbed GLIAC Special Teams Player Of The Week

Wyatt Ford

Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University senior kicker Wyatt Ford (Montague) has been tabbed as this week's Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Special Teams Player of the Week.

Ford converted a pair of key field goals and totaled seven points while helping the Bulldogs to a 13-3 win over the Tiffin Dragons on Saturday (Oct. 7) afternoon at FSU's Top Taggart Field. His points were critical in the defensive battle as neither team found the endzone in the opening half and only one touchdown was scored in the contest.

Ford knotted the game up with a short field goal late in the first half and then sealed the win with another late third quarter field goal to put FSU in front by two scores.

Presently, the standout kicker has converted six-of-seven field goals this season and all 21 of his extra point kicks for the nationally-ranked Bulldogs.

This week, the 4-1 Bulldogs visit Saginaw Valley State for a 3 p.m. (ET) league encounter in University Center, Mich.
