2011-12 Ferris State Hockey: A Season Frozen In Time


*Finished as the NCAA Division I National Runner-Up (Highest finish in school history)
*Advanced to the NCAA Frozen Four for the first time in school history
*Won the Midwest Regional Championship for the first time in school history
*Claimed the school's second-ever Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) Regular-Season Championship
*Posted the second-most wins in school history with a 26-12-5 overall record
*Advanced to the NCAA Tournament for only the second time in school history and first since 2002-03
*Ferris State was ranked first in the nation for the first time in school history during two weeks in February
*The Bulldogs sold out five of their final six regular-season home contests inside the Ewigleben Ice Arena
*Had a nation-leading 15-game unbeaten streak in the New Year until the regular-season finale on Feb. 25
*Head coach Bob Daniels was honored as both the CCHA and American Hockey Coaches Association Division I National Coach of the Year
*Associate Head Coach Drew Famulak was the nation's only recipient of the AHCA Terry Flanagan Award for his career work
*Senior forward Tommy Hill received the NCAA's Elite 89 Award for having the highest grade point average at the Frozen Four
