Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's tennis team pulled out a hard-fought 5-4 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) road win Saturday (March 22) over Lake Superior State at the Arbuckle Student Activity Center in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.
The Bulldogs claimed two of three doubles flights and then split the six singles matches to earn the win and improve to 3-11 on the season. FSU broke an eight-match skid and evened its league mark at 2-2 this year with the triumph.
Ferris State received singles wins from Laurent Galarneau at the number one flight in the lineup along with Laurent Mailloux at three singles and Andre Giacomazzi Serafim at six singles.
In doubles play, Galarneau and Aaron Dial teamed up for a victory at the top flight with the tandem of Jose Calero and Will Huntington winning at third doubles.
Ferris State will be back in action on Sunday (March 23) as FSU wraps up its weekend trip to Michigan's Upper Peninsula against Michigan Tech starting at 10 a.m. (ET) in Houghton.
