Big Rapids, Mich. - Rescheduled dates have been announced for two Ferris State University softball road doubleheaders that were called off this past weekend.
The Bulldogs' scheduled Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) twinbill against Wayne State, which was halted in the bottom of the second inning of game one on Sunday due to a medical issue involving the home plate umpire, will now take place on Friday (April 19) in Detroit prior to the Bulldogs' weekend trip to Ohio. The opening game will resume at 3 p.m. (ET) with the second game slated to follow.
In addition, FSU's league doubleheader at Saginaw Valley State that was called off due to weather conditions on Saturday will now be played on Wednesday, April 24, starting at 3 p.m. (ET) in University Center, Mich.
With the rescheduled dates, the schedule is hectic for the Bulldogs over the final two weeks of conference regular-season action.
The Bulldogs are next slated to be in action on Tuesday (April 16) with a non-conference doubleheader against the Lewis Flyers in Romeoville, Ill. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. (ET) with the nightcap to follow at approximately 4 p.m. (ET).
Following Friday's rescheduled date against Wayne State, the Bulldogs then are set to travel to Ohio Dominican on Saturday (April 20) and Tiffin on Sunday (April 21) for two-game action both days.
FSU returns home next week for a rescheduled date against Northwood on Tuesday (April 23) before visiting SVSU the following day. Then, FSU concludes the regular-season slate at home on Friday and Saturday, April 26-27, versus Findlay and Hillsdale, respectively.
