Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University softball team's scheduled Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) home doubleheader against archrival Grand Valley State set for Saturday (April 5) at the FSU Softball Field has been cancelled due to weather and field conditions.
The Bulldogs were slated to host the Lakers on Saturday afternoon in their first home action prior to the cancellation. No official makeup date has yet been set pending approval thru the conference office.
Ferris State is next scheduled to compete against Northwood in a GLIAC doubleheader on Wednesday (April 9) beginning at 3:30 p.m. (ET) in Midland if conditions permit.
With the cancellation, the Bulldogs' next home action is currently set for Friday (April 11) as FSU plays host to Malone in a rescheduled doubleheader at the FSU Softball Field in Big Rapids starting at 2 p.m. (ET).
Beginning with the doubleheader against Malone, FSU is then slated to play a total of seven home twinbills over a 11-day span from April 11-21.
