Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University softball team will play its final four home games of the season this weekend as the Bulldogs host a pair of Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) home doubleheaders at the FSU Softball Field.

The Bulldogs will host the Walsh Cavaliers on Saturday (April 22) in a league twinbill starting at 1 p.m. (ET) for game one with the second contest to follow at approximately 3 p.m. (ET).

FSU then squares off against the Lake Erie Storm on Sunday (April 23) with first pitch for the opener at 12 p.m. (ET) and the nightcap to start at 2 p.m. (ET).

Presently, the Bulldogs are tied with Northwood for the eighth and final spot for the GLIAC Tournament heading into the final six games of the regular season. Both teams are also only one game behind seventh-place Findlay in the league standings.

Following this weekend's home competition, FSU wraps up the conference regular-season on the road at rival Grand Valley State next Friday (April 28) in Allendale.

This weekend's competition will also represent the final home games for the Bulldogs' 2017 senior class at the FSU Softball Field.

A special event is also planned as part of Saturday's doubleheader as the Ferris State University Sports Communication Program hosts an "All-American Family" event. Fans are encouraged to wear patriotic and Ferris State apparel to support the Stars 'n' Stripes, military personnel and the Bulldogs.

Additionally, as part of the event, those fans attending the league twinbill can also enjoy free ballpark foods while supplies last and be entered to win prizes in various games while supporting the Bulldogs.
