Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis team will open its 2013 campaign on the road with three matches this coming weekend.
FSU will begin its second season under head coach Chad Berryhill on Friday (Sept. 6) as FSU visits Lake Erie for a 3 p.m. (ET) Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) encounter in Painesville, Ohio.
Then, on Saturday (Sept. 7), the Bulldogs face Malone in GLIAC action at 1 p.m. (ET) in Canton, Ohio, before meeting another league foe in Walsh on Sunday (Sept. 8) at 10 a.m. (ET) in Canton as well.
Ferris State recorded a 12-9 overall mark during Berryhill's first season at the helm in the 2012-13 season and the Bulldogs registered a 9-5 record in GLIAC competition.
The Bulldogs had only a lone senior on the team a year ago and will return the bulk of their lineup this fall with roster that features three seniors and a pair of juniors.
Following this weekend's swing to Ohio, the Bulldogs return home for three conference matches next week at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center in Big Rapids. FSU hosts Wayne State on Friday (Sept. 13) at 2 p.m. (ET) before meeting Hillsdale and Findlay on Saturday (Sept. 14) and Sunday (Sept. 15), respectively.
The 2013 GLIAC Tournament will take place Oct. 25-27 in Midland, Mich.
