Women's Tennis Drops League Home Match To End League Regular-Season

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis team wrapped up Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) regular-season action at home on Thursday (Oct. 17) with an 8-1 setback to Grand Valley State at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center in Big Rapids.

The Lakers bolted out to a 3-0 lead following doubles play and took five of six singles flights in earning the win.

Ferris State's lone triumph on the day came at the number six singles spot where Jessica Wilcox beat Morgan Patterson by default.

The Bulldogs finished the competitive GLIAC regular-season slate with a 7-7 overall record.

FSU has officially clinched a berth in the GLIAC Tournament, which will take place Oct. 25-27 in Midland, Mich.
