Dr. Bo Lou embarks on his first season as a volunteer assistantcoach for Ferris State University men's and women's tennis teams inthe 2011-12 campaign, but has been a longtime supporter of bothprograms.

He is employed as a professor of physics in the Physical SciencesDepartment at FSU where he teaches introductory and general physicscourses. This is Bo's 22nd year of teaching at Ferris State. He wasthe recipient of the Distinguished Faculty of the Year Award in2006 by the Professional Tennis Management program.

Bo loves the game of tennis. Being a physics professor, he alsolikes to study the physics of tennis in the areas of racquetspecifications, string technologies, ball spins and trajectories,and court geometries, etc.

Dr. Lou and his wife, Lingfei, reside in Big Rapids. Theirdaughter, Alina, is currently a medical school student at theUniversity of Michigan. The family enjoys nature, animals, andtravel.
