Anna Rudd Chosen As GLIAC Runner Of Week For Second Time This Season

Big Rapids, Mich. - For the second time this indoor season, Ferris State University senior Anna Rudd (Leslie) has been tabbed as this week's Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) women's indoor track and field "Runner of the Week" as announced by the league office.

Rudd claimed the women's mile run as Ferris State took part in the Grand Valley State "Tune-Up" meet on Friday (Feb. 15) night in Allendale at the Kelly Family Sports Center.  She reached a national provisional qualification time in the event by clocking 4:53.67. 

The field included 36 competitiors.  It was her fourth first-place finish of the season and marked the third event in which she has reached a national provisional qualification standard along with the 3,000 and 5,000 meters.

This week, the Bulldogs take part in the 2013 GLIAC Indoor Track and Field Championships set for Saturday and Sunday (Feb. 23-24) in Allendale, Mich.
