Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University Athletics Department has announced plans for a potential student bus trip to Allendale on Friday (Dec. 6) to follow the Bulldog volleyball team in the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Tournament.
Ferris State will offer a FREE charter bus ride for FSU students interested in traveling to the Grand Valley State Fieldhouse Arena for Friday's regional semifinal match should the second-seeded Bulldogs advance past this Thursday's regional quarterfinal opener against Lewis.
Friday's semifinals will begin at 5 p.m. (ET) with the bus (or busses) leaving the west side of the Ewigleben Sports Complex near the ticket office entrance two hours prior to match time at 3 p.m. (ET). The Bulldogs would face either third-seeded Northwood or sixth-seeded Indianapolis with a quarterfinal-round victory.
With the free ride, the cost for all Ferris State students is only $3 for an admission ticket to the match with a valid student identification card.
All students must sign up by this Thursday (Dec. 5) at 4 p.m. No payment is required to signup. Reservations can be made thru the FSU Athletics Ticket Office located inside the Ewigleben Sports Complex or by calling (231) 591-2888. The ticket office is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (ET) with extended hours on Wednesday until 7 p.m.
Ferris State will be making its third consecutive NCAA Tournament bid following back-to-back trips to the regional semifinals. FSU's upcoming regional appearance will represent the program's 18th all-time national tournament bid.
