Ferris State Associate Athletics Director Rob Bentley Selected To Attend NCAA D2 Strategic Communicators Conference

Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University Associate Athletics Director Rob Bentley has been selected as the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) representative to attend the 2026 NCAA Division II Strategic Communicators Conference at the NCAA headquarters and national office in Indianapolis this week.

The 2026 conference, which takes place June 2-4, marks the first of an ongoing four-year focus on athletics communications by the division and will bring in top professionals from across the country as chosen by Division II conferences and independent institutions.

Bentley will also serve as a featured panelist during the conference and will present on "Maximizing Championship Success", which will highlight the Bulldogs' four NCAA Division II football national championships in the past five years.

Bentley is midst his 26th year working at Ferris State University and serves as the Associate Athletics Director where he coordinates the Bulldogs' media relations, broadcast, multimedia and social media efforts while leading the department's external operations team. Additionally, he serves as the sport administrator for the Bulldog men's and women's basketball programs and is the secondary administrator for football.

In addition to his duties as Associate Athletics Director, he also is the radio voice of Ferris State football along with men's and women's basketball on the airwaves and the host of the Ferris Sports Update television show in addition to other broadcast functions.
