FSU Gridiron Club Memberships Still Available
Big Rapids, Mich. - The 2010 Ferris State University football
season is fast approaching and the FSU Gridiron Club is excited to
kickoff yet another year of Bulldog Football.
Recently, the annual FSU Gridiron Club membership mailing was sent
out to all those fans and supporters who have been a member of the
club over the last five years. The club is encouraging all of
those individuals who have not yet renewed or joined the Gridiron
Club to do so at this time.
Season tickets, parking passes and premiums will be mailed by all
FSU Gridiron Club members by August 30.
The FSU Gridiron Club supports the Bulldog Football program with
both financial assistance and encouragement, which continues to
inspire coaches and student-athletes to help keep the strong
tradition of Ferris State football alive.
The club sponors a number of special events throughout the year,
including the annual Lift-A-Thon, Freshmen Picnic, Spring Game
Reception, Post-Game After Glow, golf outing, homecoming dance and
tailgates at away contests.
All individuals donating $25 or more to the Gridiron Club receive
a weekly press release via mail or email throughout the
season. Additionally, those attaining "Crimson" level status
($100-$499) will receive two season tickets, special parking in the
Gridiron Club tailgate area along with a hat.
Two other membership levels are also available, including "Gold"
($500-$999) and "Champion" ($1,000+) status. The "Gold" club
members not only receive the "Crimson" benefits, but also earn
endzone parking, a FSU polo shirt and access to the Wheeler
Pavilion for a game designated by the university. "Champion"
members receive a season pass for two to the Wheeler Pavilion in
addition to the "Gold" benefits.
New club members will receive the membership premiums (hats,
shirts, polos, etc.) when joining the club. Premiums are
additionally issued to renewing members every four years, starting
in 2009.
Michigan residents can also claim a 50% credit on their state tax
return for gifts to FSU, up to a maximum of $200 for individuals
and $400 for couples. Gifts to Ferris may also be deductible
on federal tax returns (see financial advisor for specifics).
For those individuals who need to renew or join, it can be
accomplished by either returning the registration materials
enclosed in the mailing or by joining online at:

The FSU Gridiron Club hopes all prospective and renewing members
can join prior to the 2010 home opener on Saturday, Sept. 11,
against Saginaw Valley State at Top Taggart Field. Kickoff is
set for 6 p.m. (ET) and a number of special activities will take
place throughout the day in conjunction with "Honoring American
Heroes Day", including two concerts, a tailgate event, fireworks
along with a high school contest in the afternoon. It should
be a tremendous event to start off the home season.
