National Champion Veterans Slated To Represent Ferris State At 2026 GLIAC Football Media Day On Friday

Big Rapids, Mich. - A pair of returning veterans, senior defensive end Tim Allen (Coopersville) and senior slot receiver Taariik Brett (Jonesboro, Ga.), are slated to represent four-time National Champion Ferris State University on Friday (July 24) at the 2026 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Football Media Day event in Grand Rapids.

The event takes place at the Sheraton Grand Rapids Airport Hotel and the Bulldog duo will be joined by FSU head coach Tony Annese.

The GLIAC will provide exclusive coverage of the event, which will include a reveal of the 2026 preseason coaches' poll and interviews with players and coaches.

ESPN3/ESPN Plus broadcaster Adam Jaksa will host the 2026 GLIAC Football Media Day, which is scheduled to begin at 12:50 p.m. (ET) with opening comments from GLIAC Commissioner Kris Dunbar. The interview portion of the event will be streamed live on FloCollege.

1:15 p.m.: Davenport (HC Sparky McEwen, OL Armony Baskin, RB Cephus Harris Jr.)
1:30 p.m.: Michigan Tech (HC Dan Mettlach, OL Brandon DeVries, DL Pierce Miller)
1:45 p.m.: Northern Michigan (HC Matt Janus, OL Daniel Babcock, LB Jax Hertel)
2:00 p.m.: Roosevelt (HC Billy McKeon, QB Tony Chahino, LB Brandon Harvey)
2:15 p.m.: Wayne State (HC Terrence Isaac, CB Amauri Haller, WR Donovan Isaac)
2:30 p.m.: Saginaw Valley State (HC Michael Engle, DL Adom LeDuc, WR Braden Hill)
2:45 p.m.: Ferris State (HC Tony Annese, SL Taariik Brett, DL Tim Allen)
3:00 p.m.: Grand Valley State (HC Scott Wooster, WR Kellen Reed, LB Jimmy Downs)

Two-time reigning national champion Ferris State and Grand Valley State enter the 2026 season ranked No. 1 and No. 6 nationally, respectively, according to Lindy's Sports.

GLIAC football action gets underway on Thursday, Aug. 27 with five games on the schedule -- No. 1 Ferris State at No. 7 Pittsburg State, No. 6 Grand Valley State at Charleston, Michigan Tech at Bemidji State, Saginaw Valley State vs. McKendree and Northern Michigan at Minnesota State Morehead.

The Bulldogs have made the NCAA Division II Playoffs a nation-leading 11 consecutive years entering the 2026 campaign.
