Former Ferris State standout Tyler Shreve was elevated into a full-time role as the Bulldogs' defensive line coach in the summer of 2025.

Shreve served under former d-line coach Tesfa Smith as the Bulldogs' assistant defensive line coach the past three seasons, helping FSU win a third national title last fall. He mentored a group of the nation's top standouts during the stretch and assisted with recruiting along with other program initiatives in addition to serving as a coach for the position group.

Prior to his time on the Bulldog staff, Shreve competed on the offensive line for the Bulldogs and helped Ferris State claim its first of back-to-back NCAA Division II National Championships as a senior in 2021 when FSU compiled a 14-0 record. The Walled Lake Western product was a four-year letterwinner for the Bulldogs during his playing career and played a key role on one of the nation's top offensive lines.

During his career from 2016-21, the Bulldogs won a national title, made two national championship game appearances along with five consecutive trips to the D2 National Quarterfinals or beyond.
