Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's basketball squad led much of the way and used a strong finish to pull out a 75-64 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) road triumph at Davenport on Saturday (Feb. 24) in Caledonia.

With the win, the Bulldogs moved to 20-7 overall this year, marking the ninth consecutive full season of action with 20 wins or more under head coach Andy Bronkema.

The Bulldogs led for more than 29 minutes in the game and held a 34-27 halftime lead in the West Michigan road matchup. In the second half, FSU built a double-digit edge before the Panthers eventually came back and grabbed a 61-60 advantage on a four-point play.

However, Ferris State outscored FSU 15-3 the rest of the way while pulling out the win.

The Bulldogs had a strong performance at the free throw line, finishing 25-of-27 (92.6%) overall, versus a Davenport squad that was whistled for 23 total fouls. FSU shot 40.4% overall from the floor and finished four-of-16 (25%) behind the three-point line.

Ferris State got another big performance from junior guard Ethan Erickson, who tallied a game-high 22 points, which included a 12-of-12 (100%) showing at the free throw stripe. He was joined in double-digits by senior DeSean Munson with 13 points.

The Bulldogs limited Davenport to 39.7% shooting and the Panthers were eight-of-31 (25.8%) from the three-point arc along with six-of-eight (75%) at the line.

Overall, Ferris State owned a 41-34 rebounding margin and the Bulldogs forced 15 turnovers, leading to an 11-8 edge in points off turnovers. The Bulldogs also outscored FSU 15-1 on the fast break and 32-26 inside the paint.

Davenport was led by Myles Belyeu with 18 points and Matas Deksnys with 15 points.

Ferris State returns home to close out the regular-season next week inside Jim Wink Arena against Parkside on Thursday (Feb. 29) and Purdue Northwest on Saturday (March 2). Thursday's tilt versus the Rangers tips off at 7:30 p.m. (ET).
