Media Coverage Plans Announced For Ferris State Basketball In The NCAA Tournament
Big Rapids, Mich. - Media coverage plans have been announced for those Ferris State University men's and women's basketball fans unable to attend this weekend's respective NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Tournaments, but hoping to follow the action.
All of Ferris State's men's and women's NCAA Tournament contests will be broadcast live by local flagship station Sunny 97.3 FM and the Bulldog Sports Network with a free online audio stream available at FerrisStateBulldogs.com. Pregame coverage begins approximately a half-hour prior to each game with the veteran broadcast team of Rob bentley and Sandy Gholston on the call.
The women's NCAA Midwest Regional Tournament action will also be available via a pay-per-view video stream on FloSports while the men's tournament will be streamed for those fans wanting to watch the contest on the GLVC Sports Network. Each webcast will be produced by the host institution.
Additionally, the host schools will also both provide live internet statistics and FSU will offer social media updates throughout the weekend on its various platforms, including facebook, X (twitter) and instagram.
The Bulldog women's team will face Ashland in the NCAA D2 Midwest Regional Quarterfinals on Friday (March 14) in Allendale starting at 2:30 p.m. (ET). With a win, the women would play in the regional semifinals on Saturday (March 15) night at 7:30 p.m. (ET) with the regional final set for Monday (March 17) night at 7 p.m. (ET).
The Bulldog men's basketball squad will take on Missouri-St. Louis in regional quarterfinal-round play on Saturday (March 15) night with tipoff set for 8:30 p.m. (ET) in Springfield, Ill. FSU would advance to the regional semifinals with a win and play on Sunday (March 16) evening at 8:30 p.m. (ET) with the men's regional championship game on Tuesday (March 18) at 8 p.m. (ET).
Ferris State will be making its 18th NCAA Division II Tournament appearance in men's basketball and its eighth trip in the women's field. The Bulldog men have made the NCAA Tourney nine of the past 11 years, including four-straight, while the women have advanced to the big dance three of the last four years overall. A year ago, both teams claimed regional championships and advanced to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight.
