MARQUETTE, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's basketball squad fell to Northern Michigan 95-66 on Monday night (Jan. 12) at Vandament Arena in Marquette.
FSU struggled to match NMU's dominance in the paint, scoring only 16 points compared to the opponent's 52 total inside the lane.
The game opened with Ferris State taking an early lead through sharp shooting from beyond the arc, as Chang Hoth and Brandon Claerbaut each hit 3-pointers within the first two minutes. Despite efforts from Mykel Bingham and Joey Cabana, FSU was unable to close the gap, with Bingham scoring a jumper at 15:49 and Cabana adding a jumper at 4:38. Northern Michigan maintained control, highlighted by a series of successful layups and a strong bench contribution, outscoring the Bulldogs 43–29 in the half.
