Ferris State vs. Michigan Tech - Press Conference Quotes
Ferris State Press Conference
Coach Bob Daniels:
"Obviously very close game and I think, you look at shots on net. and I haven't seen the summary yet but the power play, penalty kill all are pretty even there. Feel Fortunate to move forward, obviously Tech is a great opponent and Mel has done a great job leading them toward the McNaughton Cup and I congratulate them for that. We feel fortunate to move forward and I'm proud of that and proud of our players."

"A 1-0 game. I think if you look back there were a lot of different chances, a lot of hold your breath moments."
Coach Daniels on Darren Smith:

Michigan Tech University Press Conference
Coach Mel Pearson:
"I just want to congratulate Ferris State, I think they played a real gritty game and ya know when you don't score you're not gonna win many hockey games. I just thought they did a real good job of not letting us really get anything going in the offensive zone. They did a great job killing penalties. A few chances we had I thought Darren Smith played excellent. Having said that I just want to really thank our seniors, five years ago we won four games the year before five games so they've done a great job brining the program forward. It's going to be hard not seeing them next year but they've done an outstanding job, they've brought this program back into the national picture. Even though we didn't get the result we wanted tonight, I am real proud of them. I just want to wish Ferris State and Minnesota State good luck, whichever team goes on to represent our league will do a good job in the NCAA tournament."
Cliff Watson on Jamie Phillips:
"He commands it back there."
Coach Pearson on the net losing its moorings:
"That one play doesn't win us or lose us the game."
Coach Pearson on Jamie Phillips:
"Outstanding, I think that might have been the best game he's played all year for us. He gave us a chance to win. He's had an outstanding career here."
Coach Pearson on seniors:
"Our senior class, they've raised the bar high."
