Great Lakes Invitational - Ferris State Tournament Central

Detroit, Mich. - Tickets are now on sale via TicketMaster and the Little Caesar's Arena Box Office for this December's 55th Annual Great Lakes Invitational (GLI), where Ferris State Hockey will make its second-ever tournament appearance, joining a small club of invitees to have played the tournament at both the former Joe Louis Arena and new Little Caesar's Arena, the home of the National Hockey League's (NHL) Detroit Red Wings.

Ferris State fans are strongly encouraged to fill in sections 110, 111, and 112, which TicketMaster has designated as Ferris State suggested seating for both days. Tickets for the Ferris State section begin at $35, and grants ticket buyers entry into both games of the day the ticket is purchased for during the event.

The Michigan State Spartans will play tournament host, the Michigan Tech Huskies at 1 p.m. (ET) on Monday, Dec. 30, to open the tournament followed by Ferris State vs. the Michigan Wolverines at 4 p.m. (ET).

The following day, on Tuesday, Dec. 31, game times are set for 11:30 a.m. (ET) for the Third-Place Game and 2:30 p.m. (ET) for the Championship Game, where the MacInnes Cup Championship and a hanging banner inside the home of the Detroit Red Wings for the next calendar year are on the line.

On New Years Eve, the Detroit Red Wings will wrap up the Little Caesar's Arena Hockey triple header, under the direction of Ferris State alum Jeff Blashill, when they tangle with the San Jose Sharks at 7:30 p.m. (ET).

ALUMNI RECEPTION

The Ferris State University Alumni Association is hosting a reception on Monday, Dec. 30 from 1:30-3:30 pm at HockeyTown Cafe at 2301 Woodward Avenue, in Detroit. Admission to the alumni event is priced at $20 per person and includes food, beverages and more. Tickets for the game must be purchased separately from the Alumni Event at HockeyTown Cafe.
