Ferris State Tennis Squads Sweep Michigan Tech In Home Action

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's tennis squads registered a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) home sweep over Michigan Tech on Friday (April 3) at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center.

The Bulldog women took a 5-2 win over the Huskies while the men topped MTU by a 6-1 score.

The women's team dropped the doubles point, but bounced back for the win by taking five of the six singles flights, which included a three-set win at five singles.

With the victory, the women now hold a 9-6 overall mark and are currently 3-1 in league play.

Meanwhile, the men's squad swept the doubles round and claimed wins in five of the six singles flights. The lone setback came at five singles in a three-set decision.

The Bulldog men are now 12-3 overall this year and unbeaten in the GLIAC at 3-0 in conference play.

Ferris State will continue a four-match league homestand by hosting Roosevelt on Friday, April 10, in Big Rapids. The Bulldogs will then host Purdue Northwest on Saturday, April 11.
