Strong Day For Bulldog Tennis Teams As FSU Sweeps Roosevelt In Dominant Fashion

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's tennis squads rolled to a decisive Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) sweep over visiting Roosevelt on Friday (April 10) at FSU's Racquet and Fitness Center.

The Bulldog women claimed a 6-1 win while the men took a 7-0 decision to remain unbeaten in league action.

The Bulldogs started the day strong as the women swept the doubles round for the first point in their match versus the Lakers. FSU then claimed five of the six singles positions, including the top four stops in the lineup. The lone setback as a close three-set decision at five singles.

The men, who celebrated Senior Day against RU, also had a strong day. The Bulldogs took all three doubles flights and also took all six singles spots with all six wins coming in straight-sets.

Ferris State improved to 10-6 overall and 4-1 in the GLIAC with the win on the women's side while the men are now 13-3 overall and 4-0 in league play.

FSU will host Purdue Northwest on Saturday (April 11) to close out the league homestand in Big Rapids. The women's match is slated for a 10 a.m. (ET) start with the men's match to follow at 2 p.m. (ET). The women will hold their annual Senior Day contest in conjunction with their match versus the Pride.
