Ferris State Tennis Squads Both Advance To GLIAC Tourney Championship With Semifinal Wins

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's tennis squads both advanced to the 2026 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament Championship matches as each squad recorded semifinal wins on Friday (April 24) in Midland.

The Bulldog women, who are seeded second overall, beat Davenport 4-0 in the semifinals while the top-seeded men's team recorded a 4-0 triumph over Purdue Northwest.

With the two wins, both squads will now compete for league postseason titles on Saturday (April 25) at the Greater Midland Tennis Center. The women will open the day versus top-seeded Grand Valley State starting at 10 a.m. (ET) with the men taking on third-seeded Wayne State at 3 p.m. (ET).

The winner of both the GLIAC men's and women's tournaments receives an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. Both Ferris State teams are currently ranked near the top of the region with the men listed second in this week's regional rankings and the women third overall in the Midwest Region.
