FSU Wraps Up Day One Action At GLIAC Indoor Championships
Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's indoor track and field teams closed out day one action on Saturday (Feb. 28) at the 2026 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championships in University Center.
The annual league event is being hosted by Saginaw Valley State and runs thru Sunday.
In Saturday's action, the Bulldogs tallied six team points and sit seventh in the women's competition with five events scored. The men notched 11 points and are sixth overall following the first day of action.
FSU's Devin Dennison claimed third place for all-conference honors in the men's weight throw, hurling 65-4 overall.
The men's team took fourth place in the distance medley relay as the group of Andrew Shafley, Josh Langland, Jared Watchorn and David Harris clocked 10:08.52 in the race.
The Bulldog women came in fifth in the distance medley relay with the quartet of Taylor Huntoon, Oliviah Malloy, Abby Griffith and Olivia Van Denend turning in a time of 12:41.77.
FSU's Whitney Farrell also came in seventh in the women's 5,000 meters (17:16.73).
The final day of the GLIAC Championships takes place on Sunday (March 1).
