Ferris State Track Squads Head To Allendale For GLIAC Outdoor Championships This Week
Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's outdoor track and field teams will take part in the 2026 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships, which take place Thursday and Friday (April 30-May 1) in Allendale, Mich.
The annual league meet will be hosted by Grand Valley State University. General admission tickets are $9 per day. Tickets can be purchased in advance online at gvsutickets.com.
Multi events kick off on Wednesday while field and running events start Thursday with preliminary heats. Champions will be crowned following finals races on Friday.
Each league member school will take part in one of the most highly anticipated NCAA Division II meets throughout the country.
The GLIAC meet begins at 1:30 p.m. (ET) on Wednesday with the start of the women's 100 meters in the multi-events. The bulk of the events kick off on Thursday with the competition beginning at 2:15 p.m.
The third and final day of action is on Friday with field events beginning at 10 a.m. followed by track events starting at 11:10 a.m.
Scoring in the meet will be on a 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 for eight places for individuals and relay events.
