Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University senior guard Kadyn Blanchard (Freeland) has been named to the Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-Midwest Region Team.

Blanchard was one of five standouts from the Midwest Region to earn first-team all-region accolades as announced on Thursday.

Sports information directors from NCAA Division II Midwest Region schools and conferences selected the D2CCA all-region teams. The process concludes with All-American selections announced later in the month. The NCAA Division II Conference Commissioners Association sponsored the All-Region teams.

This season, Blanchard has led the Bulldogs to a 26-6 overall mark to date this year, averaging a team-high 17.0 points per game this season. She was tabbed previously as an All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) First Team selection and became the first FSU player in 25 years to claim the coveted GLIAC Player of the Year honor.

The all-time career scoring leader in Bulldog history, Blanchard currently has scored 1,966 career points and is only 34 points away from notching her 2,000th career point.

Blanchard and the Bulldogs will open action in the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional as the number two seed and will face seventh-seeded Missouri-St. Louis on Friday, March 13, in Allendale. Tipoff is set for 2:30 p.m. (ET).
