Bulldog Women's Golf Sits Third After Day One Play At UIndy Fall Invite

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's golf team began its 2025-26 campaign with first day action on Monday (Sept. 8) at the University of Indianapolis Invitational and sits third overall heading into the final day of competition.

The Bulldogs shot a seven-over score of 583 for the opening two rounds of action, notching a one-over 289 figure in round one followed by a six-over 294 effort in the second round. FSU currently trails only leader Missouri-St. Louis (574) and host UIndy (581) in the 12-team regional tourney.

The event is taking place at Champions Pointe located in Henryville, Ind., with the final round set for Tuesday.

FSU's Kylie Walker is presently tied for seventh on the leaderboard with a 145 total as she shot a 71 in round one and a 74 in the second round.

Senior Kamryn Shannon is also tied for seventh at 145 with scores of 78 in the first round followed by an impressive 67 in round two.

Meanwhile, Lizzie Anderson is only a shot behind both at 146 thru two rounds, sitting tied for 14th overall. She shot a 72 in the opening round and a 74 in the second round.

The Bulldogs' Ashley Thomasma is tied for 17th overall at 148. She fired a 69 in the first round and came back with a 79 in the second 18 holes of play.

FSU's Paige Anderson also took part and is 66th with a 77 in round two only.

Ferris State's Taylor Musselman competed as an individual and is tied for 25th overall at 152. Musselman came up with a 74 in the first round before carding a 78 in the second round.

Isabel Kelly also took part in the event as an individual and is 52nd overall with a 166 on rounds of 82 and 84 in the first and second rounds, respectively.

The final round of action is set for Tuesday in the season-opening event.
