FSU Women's Golf Finishes Third Overall At UIndy Fall Invite

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's golf team started its 2025-26 season with a third-place overall finish at the University of Indianapolis Invitational as final-round play wrapped up on Tuesday (Sept. 9) in Henryville, Ind.

The Bulldogs finished the 54-hole tourney at Champions Pointe with a 16-over par total of 880 overall. FSU carded a 289 score in round one with a 294 in round two and closed with a 297 figure.

Ferris State finished only 11 strokes behind team champion Missouri-St. Louis, which shot a 869 score. Host Indianapolis was second (873) in front of FSU in the field of 12 teams.

The Bulldogs were led by senior Kamryn Shannon, who placed tied for fifth overall with a 215 total. She shot a 78 in round one before coming back with a school-record 67 in round two. Finally, she finished with a 70 on Tuesday.

Teammate Kylie Walker placed 11th overall at 220 for the tournament, notching scores of 71 and 74 on day one before netting a 75 in the final round.

FSU's Lizzie Anderson came in tied for 16th on the leaderboard with a 222 figure. After shooting rounds of 72 and 74 on Monday, she finished the event with a 76 in the last round.

Ferris State's Ashley Thomasma also placed among the top 20, tying for 19th overall at 224. She shot a first-round 69 and a second-round 79 before coming in with a 76 over the final 18 holes.

Taylor Musselman competed as an individual and wound up tied for 27th with a 227 score, shooting a 75 in round three following her scores of 74 and 78 on day one.

Meanwhile, Isabel Kelly also competed as an individual and was tied for 51st at the finish with a 249 figure. She carded scores of 82 and 84 on Monday along with an 83 in Tuesday's round.

The Bulldogs' Paige Anderson also competed and posted a 77 in round one only of the event for 66th place.

Ferris State is next slated to compete in the Warrior Invite on Sept. 22-23 in Washington, Mich.
