Bulldog Women's Golf Takes Third Place At NC4K Classic In Ohio
Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's golf squad came away with a third-place team finish at the NC4K Classic hosted by Ohio Dominican on Monday and Tuesday, April 6-7, in Grove City, Ohio.
The Bulldogs shot a 646 team total at Pinnacle Golf Club in the 36-hole event, carding a 326 score in the first round and a 320 effort in round two.
The event was won by Ashland University with a 619 team figure followed by Tiffin at 634 overall. A total of 14 schools were in the field.
Senior Kamryn Shannon led the Bulldogs as she tied for third overall with a 155 stroke total. Shannon shot a first-round 80 and a 75 in round two.
The Bulldogs' Ashley Thomasma and Kylie Walker both tied for 17th on the leaderboard at 163 overall. Thomasma turned in scores of 81 and 82 over the two rounds while Walker shot a 84 in round one and a 79 in the second round.
Ferris State's Lizzie Anderson tied for 30th at 167 for the two rounds, shooting a 81 in the opening round before notching a 86 in the second round.
Taylor Musselman tied for 44th with a 172 figure. She carded a 88 in the first round to go with a 84 in the final 18 holes of play.
Finally, Isabel Kelly shot a 175 for the two rounds and placed tied for 51st with scores of 89 in round one and 86 in round two.
The Bulldogs will next take part in the Missouri-St. Louis Spring Invitational on April 12-13.
