Five Ferris State Soccer Standouts Claim All-GLIAC Honors For 2025
Big Rapids, Mich. - Five members of the Ferris State University women's soccer squad have claimed All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) accolades for the 2025 campaign as announced Thursday by the conference office.
The Bulldogs' honorees include a first-team at-large recipient in junior forward Katherine Welch (Ada/Grand Rapids Christian) along with three second-team selections and an honorable mention choice.
FSU's second-team representatives included sophomore midfielder Natalia Leavens (Northville) along with senior defender Bella Vallone (Sparta) and sophomore goalkeeper Korinne Ihrke (Oxford). Meanwhile, junior midfielder Isabella Baron (Romeo) garnered All-GLIAC Honorable Mention laurels.
The Bulldogs capped off the 2025 campaign with an 8-5-6 overall record and a 8-3-3 conference slate. FSU won five of its last six regular-season contests, going 5-0-1 in the stretch, prior to a 2-0 setback to Northern Michigan in the GLIAC Tournament Quarterfinals on Tuesday.
This year, the Bulldogs made their 16th consecutive GLIAC Tournament appearance and 18th overall in program history. It also marked the eighth time in the past nine seasons in which FSU hosted at least a tourney quarterfinal-round home contest.
