Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's soccer squad had four players tabbed to the 2025 United Soccer Coaches All-Midwest Region Team as announced this week by the national coaches' organization.

FSU sophomore goalkeeper Korinne Ihrke (Oxford) earned all-region second team honors while the trio of senior defender Bella Vallone (Sparta), junior forward Katherine Welch (Ada/Grand Rapids Christian) and sophomore midfielder Natalia Leavens (Northville) all garnered all-region third team recognition.

A total of 12 players were named to each of the three all-region squads in voting by coaches from across the region.

This fall, Ihrke appeared in all 19 outings and allowed only 17 goals for a 0.91 goals against average with 75 saves for a .815 save percentage in net. Welch led the Bulldogs in scoring with 15 points on six goals and three assists in 19 contests. Leavens produced eight points with two goals and four assists while Vallone tallied two goals and three assists for seven points in her final collegiate campaign.

Previously, all four claimed All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) accolades this year.

The Bulldogs capped off the 2025 campaign with an 8-5-6 overall record and a 8-3-3 conference slate. FSU won five of its last six regular-season contests, going 5-0-1 in the stretch, prior to a 2-0 setback to Northern Michigan in the GLIAC Tournament Quarterfinals.

This year, the Bulldogs made their 16th consecutive GLIAC Tournament appearance and 18th overall in program history. It also marked the eighth time in the past nine seasons in which FSU hosted at least a tourney quarterfinal-round home contest.
