Ferris State Women's Tennis Wins GLIAC Opener Over Saginaw Valley State
Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis squad started Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play with a 5-2 triumph over Saginaw Valley State on Thursday (March 19) at the Greater Midland Tennis Center.
The Bulldogs improved to 7-5 overall this year by taking the doubles point and winning four of the six singles contests.
A total of four of the singles matches went to a third set while FSU claimed wins in all three doubles flights versus the Cardinals, who fell to 6-6 on the year and 0-2 in conference play.
Ferris State will next be in action on March 27 at Davenport followed by another league encounter on March 28 at Grand Valley State.
