Big Rapids, Mich. - Tickets are now on sale for the Class of 2011
Induction Banquet of Ferris State University's Bulldog Athletics
Hall of Fame set for Friday, Sept. 30, at the Holiday Inn Hotel and
Conference Center in Big Rapids.
Tickets for the induction ceremony are $50 each or a table of 10
for $450. All tickets must be purchased in advance by Sept.
27 and can be obtained by contacting the FSU Athletics Ticket
Office at (231) 591-2888 or by visiting the box office inside the
Ewigleben Sports Complex during normal business hours Monday thru
Friday from 9 a.m. (ET) to 5 p.m. (ET) with extended hours until 7
p.m. (ET) on Wednesday. Tickets will not be sold the night of the
event.
The Bulldog Athletics Hall of Fame, which inducted its Charter
Class in 2000 and will recognize its 11th class of inductees this
fall, was established to honor those athletes and coaches who have
distinguished themselves in their sport or honorary members who
made truly exceptional contributions to athletics.
This year's honorees are: Anne Bentley of
Wyoming, softball and women's tennis (1997-00); Gerald
Busby of Lansing, men's basketball (1980-83);
Clarence Coleman of Miami, Fla., football
(1998-01); Dr. Robert Ewigleben of Albion and
Elizabethtown, Ky., president emeritus (1971-84); Martin
Krbec of Fort Collins, Colo., men's tennis (1997-01); and
Wendy McCann of East Lansing, women's volleyball
(1984-87). The Bulldog Athletics Hall of Fame Selection
Committee also selected longtime supporter and fan Bruce
Jacobs as a recipient of an Athletics Special Service
Award.
A 15-member Selection Committee comprised of faculty, staff,
alumni and community members selected the 2011 inductees in a
voting process from among 57 nominees. The 2011 class consists of
student-athletes representing six different sports spanning four
decades.
The new inductees will join 95 honorees already enshrined during
the Class of 2011 Induction Banquet on Sept. 30 at the Holiday
Inn.
The evening will begin with a reception in honor of this year's
inductees at 6 p.m. (ET). The dinner and induction ceremonty will
start at 7 p.m. (ET) and the program should conclude by 9 p.m.
(ET).

Inductees of the 2011 Hall of Fame class will also be recognized
the following day (Oct. 1) during halftime activities of the
Bulldog football game against Lake Erie. Opening kickoff is
scheduled for 7 p.m. (EDT) at Top Taggart Field.
Tickets for the football game are $7 for adults or $5 for high
school students and under. Game tickets can also be purchased
