FSU Student-Athletes Visible At Campus Event
Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University student-athletes
were clearly visible and had an opportunity to interact with other
students from across campus, including incoming freshmen, during
the "Rockin' In The Rec" event held Friday (Aug. 27) evening.
The event took place at the Student Recreation Center on campus and
was part of FSU's annual "Welcome Week" and "Bulldog
Beginnings" activities. It was organized by the Student
Leadership and Activities organization.
Students were able to take part in tons of games, play on
inflatables and more. They were also treated to ice cream
with special giveaways part of the evening activities.
Additionally, they had a chance to meet and talk with the Bulldog
student-athletes throughout the night.
"This was a great outreach event for our student-athletes and we're
thrilled with the turnout," said FSU Associate Athletics Director
Jon Coles. "It was a tremendous opportunity
for us to also help expand our fan base and connect with other
students from across campus.
"Additionally, it also gave our teams a chance to interact with
each other for a night," he added.
A majority of FSU's 15 varsity athletics teams took part in the
event and a number of FSU head and assistant coaches also were on
hand.
