"WOMEN IN SPORTS DAY" - Oct. 8, 2010

Ferris State Athletics To Celebrate Women in Sports Day! 

The Ferris State University Athletics Department will celebrate Women in Sports Day on Friday, Oct. 8, starting at 4 p.m. (EDT).

The event is open to girls, moms, and female sports fans and will be held at the Ferris State women's soccer, women's tennis, and women's volleyball venues on the FSU campus in Big Rapids, Mich.

Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children or $25 for a family of four individuals.

The cost includes admission to three Bulldog women's athletic events, dinner , transportation, education about Title IX, autographed pictures of each team, giveaways, and invaluable role models.

In case of inclement weather, indoor viewing for all events will be provided if necessary.

The Kids' tickets are sponsored by John Milan at Preferred Office Machines.

4 p.m. - Board the FSU Team Charter Bus

4-4:15 p.m. - Guest Speakers

4:15-5 p.m. - Top Taggart Field (FSU Women's Soccer Match vs. Saginaw Valley State @ 4 p.m.)

4:45-5 p.m. - Girls on the field for games and fun

5-6 p.m. - Racquet Club Facility (FSU Women's Tennis match vs. Ohio Dominican @ 3 p.m. and games)

6-6:45 p.m. - Dinner at The Rock

7 p.m. - FSU Women's Volleyball Match vs. Ashland @ 7 p.m. inside the Ewigleben Sports Arena
