Big Rapids, Mich. - Due to the inclement weather and expected field conditions on Saturday, the Ferris State University football program has postponed its annual Crimson & Gold Spring Game for one week.
Rather than tomorrow, the 2013 Crimson & Gold Spring Game will now be held on Saturday, April 20, with kickoff now set for 1 p.m. (ET) at Top Taggart Field. Admission will be free.
In addition to moving the spring game back one week to allow for better weather and field conditions, Ferris State University has also announced that "The Big Event" will also take place on April 20.
With the change, this year's Crimson & Gold Spring game will still follow the annual "Big Event", which is an important citywide cleanup initiative that involves student organizations. Nearly 2,000 students are expected to participate in the effort and help clean up approximately 300 residences in the community.
Members of the Bulldog Football team will also participate in the "Big Event" cleanup effort prior to the annual spring game.
With the weather changes, below are the Bulldogs' remaining spring football practice dates:
Sunday, April 14 - 12 p.m.
Tuesday, April 16 - 7 a.m.
Thursday, April 18 - 7 a.m.
Saturday, April 20 - 1 p.m. Crimson & Gold Spring Game
Sunday, April 21 - 3 p.m.
