Basketball Hosts Two Ohio Schools In GLIAC Play This Week
Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and
women's basketball teams will play their first Great Lakes
Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) home contests of the
2012-13 season this week at FSU's Jim Wink Arena.
The Bulldogs will host the Ohio Dominican Panthers in a league
doubleheader on Thursday, Dec. 6, with the men's game set to tipoff
first at 6 p.m. (ET) followed by the women's contest at 8 p.m.
(ET).
A "red out" has been issued for fans attending Thursday's twinbill
and all Ferris State fans are encouraged to wear red in support of
the Bulldogs.
Additionally, on Saturday, Dec. 8, FSU hosts the Tiffin Dragons in
a twinbill with the men's contest slated for a 1 p.m. (ET) start
and the women's game beginning at 3 p.m. (ET).
This season, one lucky Bulldog fan will have a chance to win
$10,000 at every conference home game as part of the Lake Osceola
State Bank $10,000 Shootout. One contestant will be picked at
random for a chance to make a layup, free throw, three-pointer and
half-court shot in 25 seconds.

Adult general admission tickets are $7 or the cost is $5 for FSU
faculty/staff, seniors ages 65 and up or students age 3 thru 12th
grade. FSU students are admitted free with a valid student ID
card.
Both the Bulldog men's and women's basketball squads are the
defending GLIAC North Division Champions and own identical records
of 2-3 overall and 1-1 in league play to date this season.
Ohio Dominican will square off against the Bulldogs for the
third-time ever and owns a 3-3 overall record on the men's side
with an 0-2 conference slate. The ODU women's squad is
currently 3-2 on the year and also searching for its first league
victory with an 0-2 conference mark.
Tiffin's men's team is 3-3 on the year and 1-1 in league play
heading into Thursday's matchup at Grand Valley State while the
Dragons' women's squad is 3-2 overall and also 1-1 in the GLIAC to
date.
Thursday's game against ODU will represent the first
regular-season home game for the Bulldog women under first-year
head coach Colleen Lamoreaux-Tate.
Both games will be broadcast locally by Sunny 97.3 FM and the
Bulldog Sports Network starting with the Meijer Pregame Show a
half-hour prior to tipoff. Rob Bentley and Sandy Gholston
will call the action. A live audio broadcast and pay-per-view video
webcast will be accessible
