Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's basketball teams host the Wayne State Warriors in an important Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) doubleheader this Thursday (Jan. 24) night at FSU's Jim Wink Arena.
The men's game between the Bulldogs and the Warriors will tipoff first at 6 p.m. (ET) followed by the women's contest at 8 p.m. (ET).
The Bulldog women's basketball squad, under first-year head coach Colleen Lamoreaux-Tate, is presently tied for first place in the GLIAC North Division standings. FSU owns a 10-5 overall record and is 9-3 in the GLIAC while winning eight of their last 10 games to date. Meanwhile, WSU is only a half-game behind the Bulldogs with a 10-5 mark and a 8-3 league ledger.
On the men's side, the Warriors hold the top record in conference play as they come in at 12-2 overall and 11-0 in the GLIAC North. FSU head coach Bill Sall's team is 8-8 overall and 7-5 in the division, but has also won six consecutive home contests inside Wink Arena this season.
This season, one lucky Bulldog fan will have a chance to win $10,000 at every conference home game as part of the Lake Osceola State Bank $10,000 Shootout. One contestant will be picked at random for a chance to make a layup, free throw, three-pointer and half-court shot in 25 seconds.
