Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University has announced Saturday night's (Feb. 11) home hockey game against Notre Dame is officially sold out.  

The battle between the nationally fifth and sixth-ranked Bulldogs along with the ninth-ranked Fighting Irish will mark the third consecutive sellout at FSU's Ewigleben Ice Arena.  FSU also sold out both games of its last home series' against Michigan State on Jan. 27-28 with a crowd of 2,490 fans on hand both nights. 

Fans are encouraged to wear white as part of a "Whiteout" for Saturday night's home game against the Fighting Irish.  The first 800 fans will receive Bulldog Hockey Thunderstix.

Ferris State and Notre Dame open the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) home-and-home series tonight (Feb. 10) at the Compton Family Ice Arena in South Bend, Ind.  The puck drops for both games this weekend at 7:05 p.m. (ET).

While Saturday's home game is officially sold out, fans can still catch the action.  Comcast Television will be broadcasting live from the Ewigleben Ice Arena with coverage across the region.  In addition, a live audio and video webcast will be carried by the Bulldog Sports Network at

Both games are also available this weekend with a live radio broadcast on Sunny 97.3 FM as Dominic Hennig and Dan Kowalski call the action.  The pregame show starts at 6:30 p.m. (ET) and the broadcast is also accessible online via the Bulldog Sports Network.

Although Saturday's game is sold out, tickets are currently on sale for next weekend's (Feb. 17-18) home series against Bowling Green State in Big Rapids.  A special BOGO (Buy one, get one free) offer will apply to all adult full-priced tickets for the weekend series as FSU helps celebrate "Hockey Weekend Across America". The offer is not redeemable on gameday, only available while supplies last and can be purchased thru the FSU Ticket Office only.

Tickets for all 2011-12 Bulldog home regular-season games can be purchased in advance by contacting the FSU Athletics Ticket Office at (231) 591-2888. The FSU Athletics Ticket Office's normal hours of operation are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (ET) weekdays. The ticket office will also offer extended hours until 7 p.m. (ET) on Wednesday's throughout the season and be open on hockey home game Saturday's at 12 p.m. (ET).
