Big Rapids, Mich. - The Bulldog Sports Network has announced increased coverage plans pertaining to Ferris State University men's ice hockey as the Bulldogs take part in the 2012 NCAA Frozen Four this week in Tampa, Fla.
The Bulldogs will square off against Union on Thursday, April 5, in the national semifinals at 4:30 p.m. (ET) inside the Tampa Bay Times Forum. The winner moves on to the national championship game on Saturday night, April 7, at 7 p.m. (ET).
FSU has teamed up with West Michigan sports leader WBBL 107.3 FM in Grand Rapids and will air a live 90-minute "Frozen Four Faceoff" show on Wednesday (April 4) night from Tampa. The show will run from 6-7:30 p.m. (ET) and be co-hosted by the Bulldog Hockey radio team of Dominic Hennig and Dan Kowalski along with veteran broadcaster Rob Bentley of the Ferris State Athletics Communications Office.
Wednesday's show will lead up to the Detroit Red Wings broadcast as part of "Hockey Night on WBBL" and is funded by the University Advancement and Marketing Department at Ferris State.
On Thursday, the "Voice of the Bulldogs" Sunny 97.3 FM will air a live 90-minute pregame show beginning at 3 p.m. (ET) leading up to the 4:30 p.m. puck drop. Additionally, two network affiliates have been added to the Bulldog Sports Network for the Frozen Four as WJML Radio (1110 AM) in Petoskey and WJNL Radio (1210 AM) in Traverse City will carry all the pregame, play-by-play and postgame action from Tampa along with flagship station Sunny 97.3 in Big Rapids.
In addition to the Michigan radio affiliates on the Bulldog Sports Network, both Wednesday evening's "Frozen Four Faceoff" show and all of Thursday's action will be streamed live by the Bulldog Sports Network at www.FerrisStateBulldogs.com.

Besides the radio and internet coveage, Bulldog fans can also watch Thursday's national semifinal live around the world on ESPNU. Saturday's title game will be televised by ESPN2. In addition, more than 70 radio stations will carry the semifinals live on Westwood One Radio along with 135 for the championship game (see list below) in addition to Sirius/XM Channel 91 on satellite radio.
