Big Rapids, Mich. - A pair of Ferris State University defensemen have received Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) Player of the Week accolades after leading the Bulldogs in last week's Florida College Hockey Classic in Estero, Fla.

Sophomore defenseman Simon Denis (Burnaby, British Columbia) is this week's recipient of the CCHA Gladiator Defenseman of the Week honor while freshman defenseman Brandon Anselmini (Guelph, Ontario) claimed the Gongshow Rookie of the Week honor as announced by the league office.

Denis had a goal and added an assist in a 5-3 loss to nationally 11th-ranked Cornell on Friday (Dec. 28) at Germain Arena and added an assist in a 6-2 win over Minnesota Duluth on Saturday (Dec. 29). He also had three shots on goal and finished +3 on the weekend.
