Saturday's Hockey Contest Officially SOLD OUT; Ticket Specials Announced For Final Two Home Series'

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University Athletics Ticket
Office has announced Saturday's (Jan. 19) home men's ice hockey
contest against the Michigan State Spartans inside the Ewigleben
Ice Arena is officially SOLD OUT.
Saturday's game will mark the final trip to Big Rapids for the
Spartans during Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA)
regular-season action, which will also conclude a weekend
home-and-home series. Saturday's faceoff is set for 7:05 p.m.
(ET).
Due to the sellout, the game has also been picked up and will be
broadcast live by Ferris Television both on-campus and via Charter
Cable across Mecosta County. Several local establishments in
Big Rapids also plan to carry the action live.
Ferris State will travel to Munn Ice Arena on Friday (Jan. 18)
night for a 7:35 p.m. (ET) encounter against the Spartans to open
the series in East Lansing. Friday's game in East Lansing
will be televised live by Fox Sports Detroit and simulcast
nationwide by Fox College Sports Pacific.
While Saturday's home contest is officially sold out, tickets are
currently on sale for the Bulldogs' final two regular-season home
series' this season at the Ewigleben Ice Arena against Western
Michigan (Feb. 1-2) and Bowling Green State (Feb. 15-16).
A special ticket offer is available for both of those weekend
series' for tickets purchased in advance while supplies last.
Fans can buy two tickets for the Western Michigan series for only
$25 while a special "Buy One, Get One Free" offer is available for
the two games versus Bowling Green State.
All tickets can be purchased directly thru the FSU Athletics
Ticket Office inside the Ewigleben Sports Complex. The box office
is open Monday thru Friday from 9 a.m. (ET) to 5 p.m. (ET) with
extended hours on Wednesday's until 7 p.m. (ET). For more

The Bulldogs are currently tied for fourth place in the CCHA
standings heading into this weekend's series' with 25 points. FSU
is 10-9-3 overall on the year and owns a 8-7-1 mark in CCHA play
while MSU is 6-13-3 overall and 5-10-1 in league competition.
Two weeks ago (Jan. 5), the Bulldogs defeated Michigan State in a
3-0 shutout before a sold out crowd of 2,490 fans in Big Rapids on
a hat trick from junior wing Garrett
Thompson. The contest represented the second of four
meetings between the two teams this campaign following MSU's 3-1
win at Munn Ice Arena prior to the holiday break (Dec. 15).
The Jan. 5 triumph was Ferris State's sixth victory in the last
eight matchups against the Spartans and the third in a row at the
Ewigleben Ice Arena over the last two seasons.
Overall, the Bulldogs have currently drawn more than 2,000 fans
for each of its last five home contests this campaign with three
sellouts. FSU also sold out five of its final six
regular-season home contests during the historic 2011-12
season.
Both of this weekend's games can be heard live on Sunny 97.3 FM
and the Bulldog Sports Network with Dominic Hennig and Dan Kowalski
calling the action. The audio broadcast is also accessible

Saturday night's matchup will also be televised live on a
pay-per-view basis at FerrisStateBulldogs.com.
