Live TV Broadcast Announced For Sold Out Saturday Home Game

Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris Television has announced plans to carry Saturday's (Jan. 19) Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) contest between the Ferris State Bulldogs and the Michigan State Spartans live from inside the sold out Ewigleben Ice Arena.

The contest can be watched live locally via Charter Cable on channel 97 in Mecosta County or on channel 22 on the FSU campus.  In addition, the live feed will also be streamed on a pay-per-view basis worldwide by the Bulldog Sports Network at

In addition, several local establishments throughout the Big Rapids area have also announced tentative plans to carry the game live.

The puck for the series finale between the Bulldogs and the Spartans drops at 7:05 p.m. (ET).  Dominic Hennig and Dan Kowalski will call the action and an audio broadcast will also be carried online at along with local flagship station Sunny 97.3 FM starting with the Bush Insurance Pregame Show at 6:30 p.m.

Ferris State and Michigan State will open the series on Friday (Jan. 18) evening inside MSU's Munn Ice Arena in East Lansing with faceoff starting at 7:35 p.m. (ET).  Friday's tilt in East Lansing will be televised live by Fox Sports Detroit and simulcast across the country by Fox College Sports along with other various cable and satellite providers such as Fox Sports Arizona and Madison Square Garden + (MSG).

The Bulldogs are currently tied for fourth place in the CCHA standings heading into this weekend's series' with 25 points. Two weeks ago (Jan. 5), the Bulldogs defeated Michigan State in a 3-0 shutout before a sold out crowd of 2,490 fans in Big Rapids on a hat trick from junior wing Garrett Thompson.

Overall, the Bulldogs have currently drawn more than 2,000 fans for each of its last five home contests this campaign with three sellouts.  FSU also sold out five of its final six regular-season home contests during the historic 2011-12 season.

This weekend's visit to Big Rapids represents Michigan State's final trip to the Ewigleben Ice Arena in CCHA regular-season action.
