Big Rapids, Mich. - Due to the high demand, the Ferris State University Athletics Ticket Office has extended its hours in preparation for the Bulldog men's ice hockey team's Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) next home series versus rival and league leader Western Michigan.
The Bulldogs and the nationally ninth-ranked Broncos will square off on both Friday and Saturday, Feb. 1-2, with opening faceoff slated for 7:05 p.m. (ET) both nights inside the Ewigleben Ice Arena. Last year's regular-season finale against the Broncos sold out one week in advance and FSU has presently sold out nine of its last 16 home games dating back to last season.
The ticket office, which is located inside the Ewigleben Sports Complex, will offer expanded hours beginning this Sunday (Jan. 27) from 12-4 p.m. (ET) along with an extra two hours on both Monday and Tuesday nights. Hours of operation next week will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (ET) Monday thru Wednesday along with Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (ET). The ticket office will open Friday at 9 a.m. and remain open thru the game or until sold out.
For a limited time, fans can buy two tickets for the Western Michigan series for only $25. The offer is only good until Wednesday at 3 p.m. (ET) and is based on availability while supplies last. The special ticket offer represents a savings of $9 over the normal premium game rates of $17 in advance or $19 on gameday.
The promotional prices are only available directly thru the FSU Athletics Ticket office and can be purchased either by visiting the box office during business hours or by calling (231) 591-2888.
Potential sellout crowds are expected for the Western Michigan series as the Bulldogs have drawn more than 2,000 fans for each of their last five home contests and have sold out three times in that span. Western Michigan is ranked among the top 10 teams in the country and currently tied with Notre Dame atop the CCHA standings heading into this week's action with the Bulldogs only two points back.
Next weekend's series against Western Michigan represents the final regular-season series' in CCHA play between the two teams and fans can help "Celebrate The Legacy" by purchasing tickets and cheering on the Bulldogs.
In addition to the Western Michigan series, tickets also are currently on sale for the Bulldogs' final regular-season home action two weeks later versus Bowling Green State on Feb. 15-16. A special "Buy One, Get One Free" offer is available for the two games versus BGSU while supplies last thru the FSU Athletics Ticket Office.

Ferris State is coming off a home-and-home sweep over the Michigan State Spartans this past weekend. FSU posted a 5-2 triumph in CCHA action to close the final league series in regular-season play between the two teams before a sellout crowd of 2,490 fans at the Ewigleben Ice Arena in Big Rapids last Saturday (Jan. 19) night.
The Bulldogs will be back in action this weekend (Jan. 25-26) as they travel to Notre Dame to take on the league-leading Fighting Irish for the only CCHA regular-season series between the two teams this season in South Bend, Ind. It will mark the the final two CCHA regular-season matchups between the two teams. Puck drop is set to 7:35 p.m. (ET) on Friday night with the contest airing on CBS Sports Network. Saturday's faceoff will begin at 7:05 p.m.
