Big Rapids, Mich. - The Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) has announced a special ticket package for fans planning to attend the 42nd and final CCHA Championship at Joe Louis Arena set for March 22-24 in Detroit.
Fans are encouraged to attend the last league playoff championship weekend and help "Celebrate The Legacy" of the CCHA, which will disband at the conclusion of the 2012-13 campaign.
The championship weekend events will include the annual CCHA Awards Show on Friday, March 22, at the historic Fox Theatre in downtown Detroit. The league's playoff semifinal games will take place on Saturday, March 23, at 1:05 and 4:35 p.m. (ET), respectively, with the title game set for Sunday, March 24, at 2:05 p.m. (ET).
The CCHA Hockey Fan Package is being offered to all fans for $80 while supplies last and includes two tickets to the CCHA Awards Show (includes social hour), two lower-bowl reserved tickets to the semifinal games along with two lower-bowl reserved tickets to the championship game.

In addition to the CCHA Hockey Fan Package, a special package has also been put together for all former collegiate hockey players that competed for one of the CCHA member schools.
The Hockey Alumni Package is available for a package price of $120 and not only includes the two tickets to the CCHA Awards Show along with semifinal and championship games, but also features two tickets for the After Glow Party, VIP tickets and lanyards that provide access to the CCHA Legacy Party at Cobo Hall, CCHA Celebrate The Legacy commemorative gifts for league alumni along with two tickets for the CCHA Alumni Family Open that will be held at Joe Louis Arena following the CCHA Championship Game. Ferris State will begin postseason action and its quest to reach Joe Louis Arena in a best-of-three second round playoff series on the road against the Ohio State Buckeyes this weekend (March 15-17) at the OSU Ice Rink in Columbus, Ohio. The quarterfinal-round series will get underway on Friday, March 15, proceeded by game two to be held on Saturday, March 16. The deciding game, if necessary, is set to take place on Sunday, March 17. All three contests are scheduled for 7:05 p.m. (ET) opening faceoffs.
This weekend's second-round matchups include top-seeded Miami hosting Michigan State, number two seed Western Michigan entertaining Michigan along with third-seeded Notre Dame playing host to Bowling Green in addition to the Ohio State-Ferris State matchup. All four winners will advance to Joe Louis Arena next weekend with the league's tournament champion receiving an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.
This year's CCHA Tournament represents the last in the 42-year history of the league. Ferris State has advanced to the CCHA Championship Semifinals at Joe Louis Arena four previous times in 1990-91, 1992-93, 2002-03 and 2009-10.
