FSU Wraps Up Weekend Play With Another Home Win

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis team ran its winning streak to five consecutive matches with a 8-1 win over Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) newcomer Walsh (Ohio) on Sunday (Sept. 16) at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center in Big Rapids.

The Bulldogs improved to 5-1 overall and in league play while handing the Cavaliers their sixth loss in as many conference outings.

Ferris State won two of three doubles flights with Walsh's lone win coming by an 8-3 count at the number two spot in the lineup.

In singles play, FSU swept all six positions, which included a pair of three-set triumphs at the top two flights.

The Bulldogs will be back in action at home on Tuesday (Sept. 18) as they wrap up a four-match league homestand with a key conference and regional tilt versus rival Northwood starting at 2 p.m. (ET) at the Racquet & Fitness Center.
