Women's Tennis Falls To Ashland In League Home Match

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis team lost a 6-3 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) decision to visiting Ashland on Saturday (Oct. 13) at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center in Big Rapids.

The Eagles built a 2-1 lead after the doubles round with wins at the first and third flights in the lineup.

Then, in singles play, Ashland captured four of the six singles positions en route to the win.  The lone Bulldog wins came at two doubles along with one and four singles.

Winners for FSU included Ana Jan and Sydnie Sine in singles competition along with the doubles tandem of Julia Fusik and Laurence LeBlanc.

Ferris State fell to 9-5 overall and 8-5 in the GLIAC with the loss.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Sunday (Oct. 14) as they wrap up a three-match weekend homestand versus the Tiffin Dragons.  Match time is set for 11 a.m. (ET) at the FSU Racquet and Fitness center.
